Visit Great Wall

Beijing tourism department has many programs to help tourists.
There are some public buses to take tourists to some turist attractions.
Buses 877, 880 and 919, depart from Denhengmen Tower ( take Subway line 2, exit at Jishuitan station A, walk to the east, turn left at the first street. You will see the tower, looks like the Great Wall), on the way to the tower have many signs pointing the bus station. The bus fare is only 12 RMB. Trip time is around one hour. Arriving at the wall base, you can choose between climb the wall walking ( only 40 RMB) or take the sliding car ( 60 RMB turnaround + 40 RMB). Some private tour buses, take you to the Great Wall, stopping first at Ming Thomb for 40 USD with Chinese lunch included. The trip spend around 10 hours total and the buses depart before 9 AM from Qianmen Square, south of TianAnMen Square.
